The School of Open Learning (SOL) was founded in 1962. Previously known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, it is a part of the Campus of Open Learning. The University of Delhi founded the institute. With two campuses operating in Delhi's north and south, DU SOL has developed into one of India's leading institutions in the field of distance education. The School of Open Learning (SOL) at the University of Delhi has established a Placement Cell to assist its students in finding suitable job placements after completion of their studies.

Distance BAThe candidate must have passed class XII or its equivalent examination from a recognised board. Admission will be merit based, number of seats are limited to 2000
Distance BA (Hons)The candidate must have passed class XII or its equivalent examination from a recognised board. Admission will be merit-based.
Distance BBAMust have studied any one language as suggested by the university, Mathematics (Passed) and any two subjects out of which one should be from list provided by the university. Must have acquired 45% aggregate in Class XII (SC/ST/PwBD - passed Class XII) (for OBC - 40.5% Aggregate in Class XII)
Distance BComCandidates who have passed Class 12th from a recognised board are eligible to apply for the SOL BCom course.
Distance BCom (Hons)Combination I: Any one language from List A + Mathematics (Passed)+ Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1 provided by the university OR Combination II: Any one language from List A + Accountancy + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1 as provided by the university and 45% Aggregate in Class XII. For SC/ST/PwBD candidates - passed Class XII For OBC candidates - 40.5% Aggregate in class XII
Distance BMSThe candidate must have acquired 57% Marks in Class XII or its equivalent examination from a recognised board with 57% marks in Mathematics as subject.
Distance BLISCandidates who have passed Class 12th from a recognised board
Distance MLISBLISc degree from a recognised university with 50% aggregate for gneral category/45% for reserved categories
Distance MABachelor's degree from a recognised university in the respective field.

Admission Process

The admissions process takes place in online mode. Fresh admission starts from the month of January of every year. There are direct admissions, no entrance exam is conducted for the admission process.The addmission procedure 2024 for the online course at School of Open Learning University of Delhi is as follow:
