The School of Open Learning (SOL) was founded in 1962. Previously known as The School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education, it is a part of the Campus of Open Learning. The University of Delhi founded the institute. With two campuses operating in Delhi's north and south, DU SOL has developed into one of India's leading institutions in the field of distance education.
