AIEED 2024 is a national entrance-level exam. It is conducted by Arch College of Design and Business to offer admissions to its undergraduate as well as postgraduate design programmes. The AIEED exam is divided into three stages: Personal Interaction and Portfolio Review, General Ability Test (GAT), and Creative Ability Test (CAT). The GAT lasts for two hours, the CAT is three hours long. The Personal Interaction and Portfolio Review takes approximately thirty minutes.

AIEED is conducted on a national level as an entrance exam for undergraduate and postgraduate design courses. It is used to evaluate applicants based on their creativity, talent for design, ability to reason logically, and general suitability for design school. AIEED exam will assess general and creative abilities through personal interaction and portfolio assessment. It also evaluates a student's ability to present and express ideas, making sure they are well-prepared for a career in design.

Candidates applying for AIEED 2024 have to be eligible based on any of the criteria mentioned below:

Students who have Appeared for/ or Cleared Class 10+2 (CBSE/ICSE/IB/State Board/NIOS or equivalent as per UGC Guidelines) are eligible to participate in the AIEED Screening for Design Studies.
Class 10+1 Students can also write AIEED 2024, and qualifying students will be eligible for direct admission in the academic year 2025 after clearing the interaction and PoA stage.
Postgraduate Level Courses
Graduates or students pursuing graduation in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for this course.

1. Registration

Visit archedu.org, click on ‘Apply Now,’ and provide your name, email, phone number, city, course, and qualifications. You will receive a confirmation via email and SMS

2. Fill Application Form

Log in with your credentials, select your course, and fill in your personal and academic details.

3. Pay Fees

Choose a payment method Online Gateway, Demand Draft, or Bank of India to pay the application fee.

4. Upload Documents

Upload required documents (educational certificates, photo, signature), then proceed.

5. Print Confirmation

Take a printout of the confirmation page and filled the application form after reviewing it carefully.

The AIEED application form fee is INR 3,000, payable through the following options: Debit/Credit Card, Online Payment Gateway for making payments online. Scholarships, Studentships, Bursaries & Awards. According to the AIEED 2024 exam pattern, the test will consist of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT).

Candidates must take the exam online, which will comprise 45-50 questions to be completed within a 3-hour time frame.

The total score for the exam is 200.

Both the Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test are structured to evaluate candidates' design sensitivity, problem-solving abilities, creative skills, logical reasoning, and awareness of global issues.

The AIEED question paper is bilingual, with questions available in both Hindi and English. For the offline exam, candidates can choose either language to answer, while the online exam can only be taken in English.

Once you complete and submit your AIEED Application Form, you will receive an email with the next steps. You will need to create and share a Portfolio of Abilities (PoA), where you can tell your life story and explain what you hope to achieve in the future. Additionally, you will need to write a Statement of Purpose (SoP) to explain why you want to study design.The process includes three stages: Psychological Endowments for Design (PED), followed by completing CATA tasks, SoP, and PoA, all of which must be uploaded, interaction, and result declaration. All stages are mandatory and will be assessed by our admissions panel.
After completing the exam, you will receive an SMS confirmation, and the results will be announced within 7 working days. You will be informed of your result through a call letter, sent via both email and hard copy. If selected, you will be invited for an interview on the date you chose in your application form. The call letter will confirm this interview date.
