The Management Aptitude Test (MAT) was established in 1988. MAT is a standardised examination used by Business Schools (B-Schools) to help institutions select applicants for MBA and related degrees. In 2003, MAT was authorised as a national-level test by the Ministry of HRD of the Government of India. MAT scores, as shown by the Score Cards given to the applicants, can be considered by any B-school, domestic or foreign. The MAT is one of the biggest management entrance exams in India as it handles over 600 B-schools in the country.

AIMA has revised the exam pattern. Now, the exam is conducted for 2 hours instead of 2.5 hours and the number of questions has been reduced to 150 from 200. The MAT exam is conducted in three modes - Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT) and Internet Based Test (IBT) mode.

The MAT exam is conducted multiple times in four phases and candidates can appear for it any number of times. All three modes have a common MAT test structure and sectional composition. The difficulty level of the MAT exam is easy to moderate. Get here all the details of the MAT 2024 exam pattern to understand the test structure, examination modes, difficulty levels, subject-wise weightage, marking scheme, etc.

MAT question papers and sample papers are the most important components of exam preparation. Practice of MAT previous year question papers helps candidates understand the test structure, sectional weightage and difficulty level. The types of questions asked in previous years help in predicting the MAT question paper of upcoming sessions and thus help in preparing accordingly.

Check the questions papers from here.

MAT mock test practice is an important aspect of exam preparation. Without the practice of mock tests, MAT exam preparation is incomplete. Candidates preparing for the upcoming MAT 2025 exams, must practice online MAT mock tests in the final stage (at least from one month before).

Mock Test
