Like any other exam, NMAT 2024 by GMAC holds some eligibility criteria that the candidates must fulfil to take this exam. Along with undergraduate candidates, students in their final year of bachelor's degree can also take this exam. Further, different colleges hold some other criteria irrespective of NMAT eligibility criteria, below are the regular eligibility criteria for NMAT 2024.

Candidates applying for NMAT 2024 should have any one of the following

Students who have completed their 3 years of graduation or are in the final year of their undergraduate degree.
Candidates with a minimum 50% mark in their graduation can apply for this exam, however, there might be specific percentage criteria for different MBA colleges.
Candidates with CA/CS/ICWA degrees or waiting for results can also apply for NMAT.

1. Create Your Profile

Click on https://www.mba.com/exams/nmat to visit the official website of NMAT 2024 and start creating your profile if you haven’t one yet.

In the profile section, fill in your name, email, and phone number and click the Register button. It will send you a confirmation email for verification.

Verify your email to get the User ID and Password. Once your registration is confirmed through mail, your User ID and Password will be provided to you in a separate mail immediately after confirmation.

2. Visit the Official Website

Visit the official website of NMAT 2024 and log in with your credentials sent by email (User ID and Password) for NMAT 2024 registration.

Fill in the captcha and click next. If you have filled in your credentials correctly, the page will further redirect you to your created profile.

After logging in successfully, your profile will be visible to you. Now, navigate to the NMAT by GMAC window to fill in the application form.

3. Fill in the Application Form

The application form for NMAT 2024 comprises a few sections of detailing that must be filled out carefully as no detail can be edited after submitting the form.

Personal details, Academics, Work experience, Programmes, Test city, Declaration.

After filling in all the details correctly, it’s time to make the payment now.

4. Make Payment

Candidates can use their credit cards, debit cards, UPI, or Mobile Banking methods to deposit the exam registration fee.

After making the payment, your registration application will be considered for NMAT 2024. Once the application is approved, you will be updated on your email.

*No changes can be made after submitting the form. Candidates can either print or save their forms with the filled details.

NMAT has no reservation policy for any category of candidates, therefore, the applicable charge for the NMAT exam is INR 3,000 with additional taxes.
The admit cards for NMAT 2024 can be downloaded from the official website of the NMAT 2024 exam and candidates can download their admit cards right after 24 hours of successful application form submission. The admit cards remain available to download till the exam date. Admit cards are the critical aspect of NMAT exams and no candidate is allowed to take the exam without them.

Candidates who have successfully filled out their application form and have submitted the fee can download their admit cards.
The admit card consists of adhering information such as the test centre, exam date, rules and other details related to the examination.
Candidates are required to download the admit card and print a copy of it to carry at their exam centres.
Candidates must verify their details on the admit cards and in case of any mishap, they must immediately inform the respective authorities.

NMAT 2024 will follow a moderate to difficult level pattern, comprising objective-type (Multiple Choice Questions). The exam duration is 120 minutes, and candidates will attempt a total of 108 questions covering Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning sections.

The NMAT exam is conducted in three sessions, each lasting for 120 minutes.

The exam consists of three sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning, with each section containing 36 questions.

A specific time limit is allocated to each section: 28 minutes for Language Skills, 52 minutes for Quantitative Skills, and 40 minutes for Logical Reasoning.

Candidates earn three marks for every correct answer, and there is no negative marking for incorrect responses.

Skipping questions does not incur any penalty.

The maximum achievable score in the NMAT exam is 200, though cut-off scores may vary across different colleges.

Attempting all questions is not mandatory.

Please note that IIMs shortlist candidates for the interview stage based on their own criteria, which may be independent of each other. Performance in the CAT 2024 examination is an important component in the admission process. The process may include the Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI).IMs may additionally use other factors such as the previous academic performance of the candidates.They may also consider relevant work experience, gender and academic diversity and other similar inputs in shortlisting and ranking candidates at various stages of the admission process.
The final results will be declared on the official website of NMAT 2024 by GMAC. Candidates can check their results with the help of their login credentials. Saving the scorecard and taking the printouts of the results is important for future reference. The scorecards for the NMAT exam by GMAC become available right after two days and candidates can check their total scaled scores after 72 hours of appearing in the exam.

As per the legal requirements, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, 27% for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer (NC-OBC), up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates and 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD).

As defined in The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016), “Person with Benchmark Disability” means a person with not less than forty per cent (40%) of a specified disability where the specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where the specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority.“Specified disability” means the disabilities as specified in the Schedule of the RPwD Act 2016. The categories of disability are:

Blindness and low vision

Deaf and hard of hearing,

Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy,

Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness

Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d),

Other 'specified disabilities' mentioned in 'The Schedule' of the RPwD Act 2016.

For the purpose of being considered for reservation, the applicable Central Government list as on the last date of CAT registration shall be binding. No subsequent changes will be effective for CAT 2024 and any subsequent selection process of the IIMs.

Enter the NMAT login ID and password and click on the NMAT Answer Key.

Enter the set number of question papers and fill in the captcha to open the answer key for the respective paper.

Click on ‘download’ to save the answer key in PDF format on your device.

Each institution across the nation participating in the NMAT exam has its own cut-offs, hence, along with passing the NMAT 2024 exam with the minimum marks, candidates must ensure achieving the cut-off marks for the institute they desire to enrol in. Cut-offs will be the minimum marks for NMAT to get admission to a particular college.

The NMAT 2024 is a crucial stage for those who aim to join the management courses in the top institutes. To ensure a seamless experience on exam day, candidates should adhere to the following directives:
Candidates are recommended to get to the NMAT examination centre at least half an hour or an hour before the scheduled start time.
Do not forget to carry your NMAT 2024 admission card with you. Also, ensure that all the information put on the card is accurate.
Candidates should be obedient to the examination staff and invigilators during the check-in process.
One must not carry unnecessary items such as books, materials or anything that will just create clutter in the exam hall.
