The full form of IIMs is Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). These independent public business schools in India provide management education and research. IIMs operate under the general direction of the Ministry of Education, Government of India; each IIM is autonomous in its operations, rules, and curriculum. For consideration in the IIM admissions process, you must fulfil the following qualifying criteria:
Candidates in the general category must have at least 50% total graduation marks.
Reserved category candidates must have a minimum of 45% overall in their graduation.
Candidates must pass the minimum CAT exam cut-off score established by the relevant IIM. The CAT percentile is applied to select individuals in their desired courses, and then their academic background, gender diversity, work experience, WAT/GD, and PI performance are taken into account for admission.

Most of the courses at IIM are full-time. One of the most common full-time programmes is the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP). PGP is a master ‘s-level curriculum that provides a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The two-year, full-time residential programme’s goal is to prepare students for leadership responsibilities in a world that is becoming more dynamic and complicated. With a summer project in between, it spans two years and six trimesters.
