IIMA 2-Year degree Online MBA Program has the following eligibility criteria:
A minimum of 3-years of full-time work experience (for both working professionals and entrepreneurs)
The candidate must be a minimum of 24 years of age
The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree/CA/CS/ICWA or equivalent in any discipline with at least 50 per cent marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
(Note: The admission to the program demands a minimum of 15 years of study as per the education system of India, i.e., 10 + 2 + 3 or 4 years)
An aspiring candidate has to fulfil the following admission criteria for taking up an online MBA course at IIM Ahmedabad :
Online IIMA Admission Test (IMA) designed for Online MBA admission or
A valid CAT score (the scores of the test taken within the last 5 years would be considered for shortlisting) or
A valid GRE/GMAT score ( the scores of the test taken within the previous 5 years will be accepted)
For the final selection round, the shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
According to the Government of India’s policy, a certain number of seats are reserved for special categories in IIM Ahmedabad to take admission to the program.

1. For the admission process, 27% of the seats are reserved for NC-OBC,15% for SC, 7.5% for ST candidates, 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD), and nearly 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
Note: Candidates must also distinguish their category clearly in the CAT application form.
2. As defined in “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016), a person with benchmark disability” means a person with not less than 40% of a specified disability as certified by the certifying authority.
“Specified Disability” means the disabilities defined in the “Schedule of the RPwD Act 2016”. The categories of disabilities are as follows:
Blindness and low vision
Deaf and hard of hearing
Locomotor disability, including cerebral palsy, leprosy, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy
Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness
Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) and
Other ‘specified disabilities’ are mentioned in “The Schedule” of the RPwD Act 2016.

Please note that IIM Ahmedabad strives to ensure that candidates belonging to the categories of NC-OBC, SC, ST, PwD, and EWS are represented in the program. It is mandatory on the candidate’s end to still meet the eligibility criteria and score a minimum performance level in the CAT, AWT, and Personal interview.
