30% means 30/100
So 30% of 600 would be 30/100 X 600

So, the percentage increase formula is

B+C = Final Value
where A% is the percentage value increase to be found.
B is the original value that will be increased
C is the value increase
The final value is the number received after the value increase
Now let’s calculate the 50% decrease in 800.
So for the second value, let’s find out what would be the total value after a 50% decrease in 800.
= 50% decrease in 500 means 500/100 X 800
= 400
So the total value will be 800-400= 400
So 50% in 800 comes out to be 400, which brings the final total to 400.
